Mohawks Rock

I ask because I live in Southern California where fashion is everywhere. I know Mohawks have been around for a 100 years plus. Recently I have noticed more mohawks out there. Not like the nice long hawks they are more like 1" or 2" hawks not like that size is bad ok. I have seen 5 guys all in there teens and early 20s in the past 3 days with them. These guys dont look like they are a part of any group (Lifestyle). Is there something Im missing here? but then.. I have seen little to no T.V or Cable in like a year. funny I dont miss it ...anyways are mohawks the new fad going around? I dont want to be looked at as part of a fad or sould I wait out the "Fad Storm" to pass and keep Rocking my Hawk ,,or am I TRIPPING BALLS here"o_0"

Cant say I've seen too many people with mohawks around. Fauxhawks on the other hand...
i haven't seen a lot of mohawks around maybe 1 and it was like 2" other than that all i see is faux-hawks there has to be at least 75 in my school
Yeah I haven't seen any nice long mohawks with the sides fully shaved. Just a bunch of sissy boys with insecurities sporting faux hawks.

It just ticks me off when they try to tell me that we "match". -_-
The thing is that punk has always had its rip offs. First it was the goth revolution that broke off from us. Next came emo in 85. Which has been warped into a terrible creation of the corporations. Now we have these kids that want to be punk, but have no realization that punk has nothing to do with how you look. It is all about the music, attitude, and life you live. BUt they are trying to become punks, and go by the stereotypical punk that you see in all the books and media when punks are referenced. So they think mo-hawks will make them more punk rock then before. Eventually they realize what punk is and become one, or get sick of the ridicule and stop entirely.
Amen!
Mohawks arent just for PUNKS.... the culture of punk is something your a part of, do you really own it. Just because I'm a Mohawk Indian doesnt mean I own the hair style....stay away from saying who owns what and who rips off something.... of someone else. If you wanna get into the rip off term...My tribe has been here for a 1,000 years wearing Mohawks....so who ripped off who!

Sharing culture, sharing scenes, sharing hair cuts will move us(Humanity) along a lot further than just keeping it to yourself!
most mini hawk rockers are trying to be someone they are not (note "most" cause everyone starts somewhere, unless you have long hair and just cut it into a hawk, and thats a whole nother story) even i started with short hair, geez like two plus years ago, and my hawk has evolved and grew, constantly changing, just like me......anyway don't fret the trendy wanna be's most wont last a month, the novelty will burn out and they will then turn into some of the most irritating people.......the people than find it nessesary to stop me on the street, in the store, at my local pub to tell me their 'glorious' i used to have a mohawk story, as if they are trying to relate to me, or to in someway find common ground, who cares im not judging you so dont feel you have to prove anything to me im sure not going to prove anything to you...........ummm im not sure of my point, knowing me probably a pointless rant but thats ok...oh yeah if you want to distinguish yourself from the trendy mini hawk rockers, stick to it let it grow, let it evolve to something firece make it represent who you are....as long as prepackaged sub cuture shops exist there will always be weekend warriors trying to prove something to themselves, to their friends, to you.......dont let them get to you.
living in nyc, I see a lot of 2 inch and less ones. Though I do see real mohawks once in a while.
"I'm sorry I have a vagina!"

Ahahahahaha!!!!! XD
It's ok, I forgive her xD
Dude, fads are just that, fads! People rocking these tiny faux-hawks will just move with whatever they see on TV! When the next celeb is seen wearing a new style, they will follow! (hoping its a mullet or something xD )

Keep Rocking the hawk dude!
I rarely see people with Mohawks around where I live, at least not real ones. Sure, there's some actual Punks. But that's it. Though, we have a shitload people sporting fauxhawks here...
