I had long hair about a year ago. and went to get it trimmed. When I sat down in the barber's chair, he asked, "How we cuttin' it?". On the spur of the moment, I blurted out, "Cut a mohawk!". It was that sudden, that I decided to wear one. I've always dug 'em, but didn't have the "balls" to do it. Now, I'll probably have it for the rest of my life. It has just become a personal symbol that other people associate with me. The drawback is most people here in Tampa, think I'm a Tampa Bay Rays MLB fan, due to the "rayhawk" style from last season's players and fans. That cut was really more of a "fauxhawk" for most, but some hardcore fans went the whole nine yards and dyed their's blue. The truth is, I'm not a baseball fan, I'm a musician....a drummer. Mohawks rock!
Welcome to Mohawks Rock Cliff. Thats an awesome story of how you ended up with the hawk. I cut mine for what I thought would just be a weekend, but have kept it every since, in fact, starting a website to gather others around. Hope you enjoy this community of like-minded people.
